On the subject of the #BurkiniBan in France:
Beach Apparel
Nigella covers herself head to foot
to frolic on Bondi beach.
If Nazia does the same in France
a liberal lesson we should teach.
Not that we’re fundamentalist
or extreme; we don’t preach.
We just outlaw what we don’t like
spit at what doesn’t fit
we make women stay at home
unless they take off their kit.
We’re different from that other lot
who insist ladies cover up in what-not!
I’ll go to the beach dressed as a nun
I think I’ll be allowed to have some fun.
I’ll wear a sari to enjoy sun, sea, sand.
Show midriff only. Will a sari be banned?
